NIA/NASA VIDEOGRAPHERS WIN TOP NASA HONORS

HAMPTON, Va. – Mike Bibbo and Tom Shortridge, videographers of the half-hour TV show "NASA 360”, have been named among NASA's best, according to the agency's Videographer of the Year 2010 awards.
Bibbo and Shortridge, placed second in the production category for the segment, "NASA 360: Composite Materials/Edison2 Very Light Car." The segment tells the story of how new stronger, lightweight materials are used to make spacecraft and other vehicles, including cars, more efficient.
The NASA 360 series is based at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., and is produced for NASA by the National Institute of Aerospace, (NIA) also in Hampton. The program airs on NASA TV, select airlines and 450 public broadcasting, cable and commercial stations across the country and is part of the NASA eClips project that provides free NASA educational video content for the Internet. More than five million online viewers have downloaded NASA 360 at http://www.nasa.gov/nasa360.

NASA TV PROGRAM EXPANDS AUDIENCE REACH

HAMPTON, Va. – Internet viewers have a new place to watch one of NASA's favorite TV programs – along with 30 million of their closest friends.
"NASA 360" is now on the popular online video service, hulu.com. "We have been working with Hulu for almost two years to bring our show to more web viewers," said Kevin Krigsvold, "NASA 360" producer.
According to Hulu.com, Hulu's selection of premium programming is provided by more than 225 leading content companies, including FOX, NBC Universal, ABC, Lionsgate, MGM, National Geographic, Paramount, A&E Television Networks, PBS, and Warner Bros. Television Group. Now NASA, America's aerospace agency, is added to that list.

PARTNERSHIP BRINGS NASA EDUCATION CONTENT TO MILLIONS
Hampton, Va – A collaboration between the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) and global education company, Promethean is bringing the latest NASA education content to teachers and learners worldwide.
New pages available on Promethean Planet’s website community feature content developed for NASA and middle and high school educators by the Center for Integrative STEM Education (CISE) at NIA. Designed to help teachers bring excitement into middle and high school classrooms, the materials include teacher professional development resources and lesson plans for both elementary and secondary education, images for download, interactive activities, award-winning videos, animations and much more.
